Ask what ages and conditions the clinician sees, what setting the course requires, and whether the practice can support the full schedule. St. Louis and Kansas City contain the widest mix of health systems, outpatient networks, psychiatric services, specialty practices, and independent offices. Expand beyond city limits to places such as St. Charles, Florissant, Chesterfield, Independence, Lee's Summit, and Liberty when the commute works. Different organizations within one metro may follow very different student calendars.

Springfield is a major southwest Missouri hub. Columbia supports central Missouri, and Jefferson City adds public and private clinical networks. Joplin serves the southwest corner, while Cape Girardeau supports southeast Missouri. Smaller cities can offer continuity and broad primary care, but a narrow specialty may require travel to a larger center.

State the population and setting in the first request. PMHNP and AGACNP students should avoid general clinic lists that cannot provide psychiatric or acute care experience. FNP, AGPCNP, PNP-PC, and WHNP students should name the ages, visit types, and activities their course needs.
