Privacy Policy

We operate herzingpreceptor.com, a private service that helps Herzing University nurse practitioner students line up a qualified, Herzing-approvable preceptor and clinical site in their specialty and state. We are an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Herzing University, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or any accreditor. When we work on your behalf, we coordinate with prospective preceptors and sites; we do not act for Herzing.

This policy applies only to this website and the form and chat tools on it. It does not cover Herzing's own systems, your program's clinical tracking system, or any third-party site we may link to. Those have their own privacy practices.

We collect only what we need to answer your question and help arrange a placement. The information comes from you, when you fill out our contact form or message us through chat or WhatsApp/SMS. It typically includes:

• Your name so we know who we are helping.
• Your contact details (email, and the phone number or messaging handle you choose to share) so we can reply.
• Your program or track (for example, FNP, PMHNP, or another Herzing NP track, MSN or DNP) so we can match the right preceptor.
• Your city or state so we can search for an approvable site near you.
• Your clinical deadline or target start term so we can work to the timing you need.
• Anything else you tell us in your message, such as questions about hours, compliance, or your situation.

We do not ask for sensitive identifiers like a Social Security number, and you should not send one. We do not collect background check results, immunization records, or medical information through this site. If a prospective site later needs that kind of documentation for clearance, you provide it to them or to your program directly, not to us.

We use what you share for two purposes: to respond to you, and to do the placement work you asked for. In practice that means replying to your question, understanding your track and timeline, and searching for and reaching out to a qualified, Herzing-approvable preceptor and clinical site in your specialty and area.

We may use your contact details to follow up on an open request, share preceptor or site options we found, and answer questions while we coordinate. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will. We do not use your information to send unrelated marketing, and we do not build advertising profiles from it.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or hand your details to data brokers or advertisers. Your information is not a product.

We also do not post your information publicly, and we do not share it with Herzing University or any accreditor as a way of representing you to them. You manage your own relationship with Herzing; we work alongside you, not in front of you.

To arrange a placement, we sometimes need to introduce you to a prospective preceptor or clinical site. We share only what that introduction requires, usually your name, your track, your general location, and your target timeline, and we do it with your knowledge. We will not send a preceptor your details as a surprise; you will know an outreach is happening.

Beyond that, we share information only in narrow cases: with service providers that help us operate the site (for example, hosting or messaging tools) under confidentiality obligations, or when the law requires it. We do not authorize those providers to use your information for their own purposes.

This site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your chat session, and understand general traffic patterns. These are not used to sell your data or to track you across other websites for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features, like the chat widget, may not work as well if you do.

Messages you send through our chat or WhatsApp/SMS are handled the same way as form submissions: used to reply and to help with your placement, and never sold.

We keep your information for as long as we are actively helping you and for a reasonable period afterward, in case you come back or have follow-up questions. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove what identifies you.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information you share. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we limit who can see your details to the people working on your request.

You stay in control of your information. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also tell us to stop contacting you at any time. To make any of these requests, reach us through our contact page. We will confirm your request and act on it, and we may need to verify who you are first so we are releasing or deleting the right person's information.

Deleting your information may mean we can no longer continue an active placement search, since we need your details to do that work. We will tell you if that is the case so you can decide.

This site and our service are for adult nurse practitioner students. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has contacted us, let us know and we will delete the information.

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a current date. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated policy applies. For anything you are unsure about, ask us, that is what the contact page is for.
